Sunday past was a wonderful day for the club when two county titles came home.
First up was the under 16 D final in Mayobridge with Rostrevor the opposition.
The young magpies were superb from start to finish Caoimhe Ward scoring 2 goals and player of the Match Kasey O’Rourke scoring the other 2 goals in a 4-10 to 3-3 victory. Congratulations to the players and management. Get well soon to Tierna Rogan who broke her collar bone during the game. Winning team photo attached.
On Sunday evening conditions were horrendous for the Eamon Rooney Sponsored Intermediate Camogie final in Fontenoy Park Liatroim but it was a fruitful evening for the girls as they defeated Attical 3-6 to 1-5, player of the match Carly McClean, Caitlín Mhic Naois and captain Meagan Devlin the goalscorers, all in the first half with the gale at their backs. Winning well at half time the defence stood strong in the second period to hold out for a phenomenal success. Congratulations to the players, management and backroom team.

Hard luck to our under 13s who went down to Annaclone in the championship semi final
on Sunday at noon in Pairc Eoghain Rua. The lads led by a point at the break but the concession of a few early second half goals proved vital as the west Down men triumphed by 6 points in the end.
Well done to the premier reserves who led from start to finish on Saturday evening against Ballyholland in the premier reserve championship quarter final winning in the end 1-13 to 0-7. The semi final is down for decision this weekend, opposition, venue and time TBC.
Best of luck to our senior team and management on Sunday next in the Morgan Fuels championship semi final against neighbours Clonduff. Throw in is at 5.30pm in Pairc Esler. Get behind these great men as they aim to make it to the county final for the 12th consecutive year.
