Pride of place this week goes to the county under 20 side on their brilliant success last Wednesday winning Ulster at the hands of Derry.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this latest success for our county.
A Special well done to our own Callum Rogers, Jason Morgan, Nathan Rogers, Conor Laverty, Darragh O’Hanlon and Marc Rogan on becoming Ulster champions.
There was disappointment for the county seniors and minors at the weekend loosing to Armagh and Fermanagh respectively. Commiserations to all our representatives.
Congratulations to our own Ruairi Madine and Barra McEvoy who on Monday evening were selected on the QUB future stars team.
Barra was selected at centre half forward and Ruairi at full forward. See attached photo.
At minor Camogie, the county team beat Armagh to qualify for the All Ireland final.
Well done to Sinead McAneney, Ellie-Rose Hynes and AnneMarie McAneney on a brilliant win.
Well done to our senior Camogs who had a good two point league victory over Mayobridge last week.
Both under 16 and 18 girls teams faced Dundrum in the last seven days at home, with the away team winning both encounters.
Congratulations to St Colman’s Newry on their Dalton cup success last week and particular Paudie Morgan, Odhrán McCabe & Sean Hynes of Cill Chua. See attached photo of the lads.
At senior club level it was back to winning ways for the lads on Friday with a good 3 point win over Warrenpoint in horrible conditions. This week it’s an away trip to Bryansford.
The premier reserves met Carryduff on Saturday and got over the line in the end on a 1-8 to 1-6 scoreline.
