The club were recently represented at the annual Ulster GAA awards by Roger Morgan and Seamus McClean. They received an award from president Ciaran McLaughlin for the clubs success in bringing an all Ireland title to the province. See attached photo.

Bronnadh Pat Carey, Glór na nGael, agus Paul Conroy, Ambasadóir na Gaeilge, bonn airgid ar CLG Eoghan Rua Cill Chua i bPáirc an Chrócaigh dár gcuid oibre ar son na Gaeilge. D’fhreastail ár nOifigeach Gaeilge, Caitlín Mhic Naois, ar ár son. Is scéim iontach é Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha a chuireann treoracha agus tacaíocht ar fáil do chlubanna CLG chun an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn. Tá an club cláraithe leis an Fhondúireacht ó 2017 agus buíochas leis, tá an teanga agus an chultúr ag dul ó neart go neart sa pharóiste.

Pat Carey, Glór na nGael, and Paul Conroy, Irish language ambassador, presented CLG Eoghan Rua Cill Chua with a silver Joe McDonagh award in Croke Park for our work with the Irish language. Our Irish language officer, Caitlín Mhic Naois, represented the club on the night. The Joe McDonagh Foundation is an amazing scheme that gives clubs direction and support in developing the language. The club has been registered with the foundation since 2017 and thanks to it, has seen the language go from strength to strength in the parish.

Congratulations to Caitlín in particular for all her hard work.

The collection points will be Saturday 10th and 17th December from 10am to 11am and Wednesday 7th and 14th December from 7pm-8pm at the community centre. Due to the cost of living crisis the numbers using the Foodbank have quadrupled in the past year. We once again ask the generous people of Cill Chua CLG to assist where they can. The following items can be taken, along with treats for Christmas. We had the first collection last Saturday and had a great response.
