Eoghan Rua Cill Chua Notes

It’s been a busy few weeks for the club and we are delighted to be Down senior football champions once again, a 20th time for the club and 4 in a row for this group.

We congratulate the players, management and backroom team for their superb effort and success.

It’s ulster club time again in 3 weeks and it will be Crossmaglen or Ballybay providing the opposition in the first defence of the Seamus MacFerran cup.

Commiserations to our senior Camogs who lost out to an impressive An Riocht in Sundays Intermediate Final.

A big thanks to the team for the entertainment they have given us over this last year with their skills and never say die attitude.

Also thanks to Ryan, Majella and back-room team who brought this team to this level.

We congratulate An Riocht on winning the title.

Many thanks to those who assisted in anyway with the big breakfast mornings this past two Sundays and to those who helped with the production of the magpie ahead of both finals. Also thanks to those who sponsored adds etc, alls very much appreciated by the club.

Ranganna Gaeilge le CLG Eoghan Rua Cill Chua / Irish classes with Kilcoo GAC:

The club aim to run more Irish classes over the winter months and ask if there’d be enough interest for both beginners and improvers classes! Spread the word and let Caitlin Mhic Naois if interested.

The club were delighted to find out we have won Silver in the Joe McDonagh Foundation for our efforts in Irish language and culture. Well done to Caitlin Mhic Naois in particular whose drive and enthusiasm was the main reason for the club receiving this accolade.
