Cill Chua CLG Club Notes

Eoghan Rua Cill Chua CLG Notes

Congratulations to our senior footballers,  managers and backroom team on reaching a 12th county final in 14 seasons at the weekend by virtue of their semi final victory over Mayobridge, 1-9 to 0-4 in the end.

The game was a poor spectacle but the lads showed great resilience, patience and discipline to eek out the 8 point success.

The final will take place on Sunday week, with Cumman Pheadair Naofa the opposition in what will be a repeat of the 2019 final which we won by a point.

Enjoy the build up.

Congratulations to our Under 11.5 boys and management who won their 5th tournament of the season on Saturday at the superb  #Lightupforpaul event hosted by Roger Casements GAC Portglenone in memory of Paul McKeever.

See attached photo of the team after final victory over the host club.

Hard Luck to our young under 16 girls who put up a good fight against a strong St Johns team on Sunday in the championship semi final but went down 7-14 to 4-7. Good Luck to St Johns in the Final

Good luck to our senior Camogs and management, who take on Aghaderg in round 5 of the intermediate championship this Sunday in Aghaderg at 3pm.

This seasons Under 20 Mens competition also commences this Sunday and it’s Carryduff away first for our lads with a noon throw in.
