Eoghan Rua Cill Chua CLG Notes
GAA President Larry McCarthy will visit Pairc Eoghain Rua on Wednesday evening(31st August) to present our club All Stars with their awards. We are delighted to have Larry coming to present these prestigious individual gongs. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Well done to our senior team and management who won their round 1 championship game on Friday against Clonduff. Goals from Eugene Branagan and Sean Og McCusker and a solid performance from each and every player helped them to get over the line, 2-12 to 0-4 the final score.
There is no fixtures this coming weekend, round 2 takes place on the weekend 9th to 11th September.
Hard luck to our senior ladies who lost to a strong Downpatrick side in the championship on Saturday.
An unbelievable performance was put in by our young U15 footballers last week in the championship Cup semi-final, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to get them over the line against a strong Bosco team.
A big thanks to the Team and Management for the great entertainment they gave us over this last few months, and good luck to St John Bosco GAC in the final.
Kilcoo 4-6, St John Bosco 3-11.
Well done to our under 11 boys who had a good win over Loughinisland on Sunday.
Hard lock to the under 13s who finished their championship group stage with a defeat to Downpatrick. They still qualify for the championship semi final though we’re the RGU will provide the opposition again.
The Friends of Kilcoo lotto draw continues each Tuesday evening. Tickets can be bought online or from usual outlets.
