Eoghan Rua Cill Chua Notes week ending 27/6/21

Congratulations to those who took part in Saturday’s Friends of Kilcoo Mourne Challenge. A massive thank you also to the sub committee who organised and stewarded the event. Many photos capturing folk on the mountains can be viewed on our clubs Facebook page.

Congratulations to Martel Kennedy who was successful in the draw for the signed and framed jersey of our Ulster winning squad of 2019.

It was a quiet week once again at adult level

With none of our senior sides in action at all levels. Things will ramp up over the coming weeks, keep any eye on our website for fixtures.

At underage boys it was 2 wins out of 4 in the last seven days, while the minors played out a fantastic draw away to An Riocht.

The under 13 boys came up against a strong Saul side and lost out while the under 11.5 kids won by 4 points away to Bredagh.

The most impressive performance in the club last week came from the under 15s who went to Fr. Lynch Park and defeated a fancied Ballyholland 2-13 to 1-11.

At underage girls there were two fantastic wins last Thursday and Friday. The under 15s went to Clonduff and won 4-8 to 5-4 in a compelling game on Thursday and on Friday the under 15s had a convincing victory over Dundrum.

In Camogie, well done to our under 17s on their 2-3 to 1-1 win over Aghaderg.

The Friends of Kilcoo lotto draw continues each Tuesday evening. Tickets can be bought online or from usual outlets.
