Eoghan Rua Cill Chua Notes W/E 20th June
The clubs Mourne Challenge takes place this Saturday. Registration will take place between 8am and 9am in Donard Park.
Good luck to everyone taking part.
There was very little adult football over the last week in the club with only the seconds in action. They travelled to Ballyholland on Saturday evening and came away with both league points. Martin Devlin and Crissy Rooney were the goalscorers in a 2-16 to 1-8 win.
Best of luck to our 3 county seniors, Paul Devlin, Ceilum Doherty and Ryan McEvoy this Sunday when they take on Donegal in the Ulster championship preliminary round.
Tickets will be limited for Sunday’s game and the club will raffle our allocation. Please give your name to Michael Kane or Carly McClean before 8pm on Thursday evening if you want to be entered into the draw for the chance to purchase a ticket.
At underage boys it was 3 wins out of 4 last week. The minors and under 13s defeated Loughinisland & St John’s respectively while the under 15s were involved in a high scoring cracker away to Mayobridge, the home side winning in the end.
At under 11.5 the magpie boys had a big win over St Paul’s.
It was also a busy week for the underage girls. Our under 18s lost by five in a local derby against Castlewellan while the under 13s got a win over Teconnaght scoring an impressive 13 goals in the process.
Well done also to the u9.5 girls on their outing to Carryduff on Saturday. Thanks to Carryduff GAC for hosting the girls.
It was a quieter week for the camogs. The under 15s lost to Dromara at home in a high scoring game, a game with a combined total if 15 goals.
